The Unstickied !! Leg end Hairy Taffia Fish and Chip Run Saturday June 27th 2009
The date is Saturday June 27th , the run will take you to chip heaven through Wales' finest countryside. This will mean having to blat along some of the best B roads on offer in the UK including the Evo and Top Gear test road, the Chapels and Dyliffe.
The start point is our Area meet pub, The Piercefield Inn, Chepstow,
The location for the start point is below
Piercefield Inn, St Arvans , Chepstow NP16 6EJ
Departing at 10am prompt and the Chips are at Aberystwyth some 140 miles away, where the chance to line up on the Prom for that Low Flying photo is a must.
Then a swift return to Chepstow for a quiet drink of shandy with the Taffia completes a fantastic day out.
Veterans will know the drill, for those wanting to take part in a fine day out in the 7 just look out for the postings on here and keep the date free on the calendar.
83 is our start point record see how we do this year.
Come along everyone is welcome, full route books are provided on departure from Chepstow (sorry not beforehand), chips are not guaranteed !

I checked the calendar on the clubs main page, the calendar issued by Sam Pearce and there is nothing listed and all major British motor events ........ but not the stickies on the top of the page .... oh well ..plus the dates that were available with Me and Red Dave as Organisers of this event
I guess there is room for both events sorry for anyone who wants to do both. You best go on the IOM and do mine next year

Dave are you going to be running a "Mega-blat" this year (Whoops, should have read the other threads first! I'll keep my fingers crossed that we can make the Mega Blat ) Anyway, I hope it all goes well. I shall be thinking of you all as I am cruising up the Autoroute for 10 hours. Green with envy I am.

Dave, in the vain hope that you have got the date wrong (parents 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday 27th) can I just double check that you don’t mean Sunday 28th (I’m pretty sure that previous Chip Shop runs have been on a Sunday)?

Blokko, No we haven't got the date wrong we've changed it this year cos of: 1 Some of us want to go to the Chapel on Sunday 2 Less "Sunday" drivers on a Saturday 3. Pubs aren't open on a Sunday 4. The sheep are more friendly on a Saturday 5. you forgot the bit about less bikers in the way on Saturday
